Sheryl Husband is the co-ordinator of a new group set-up to look after the conservational interests of Fernhill.
“We believe the site is a beautiful cultural and historical asset to the valley. Our group wish to see the site developed sympathetically for leisure and tourism purposes. In addition, we are looking for ways to celebrate the beauty and value of the area, for instance, through photographs, sketches, paintings, stories, poetry, sharing memories or artefacts.“
Whether you are an individual or group they are looking for people to help raise awareness of the plans for the area, recruiting supporters, networking, contacting organisations, distributing petitions, delivering leaflets, providing information/photos on the history of the site, help with website design, poster design, offering advice / guidance / expertise on planning / housing / ecological information etc.
Further information can be obtained by contacting Fernhill (Rhondda) Conservation Group, c/o Sheryl Husband, 36 Blaenrhondda Rd, Blaenrhondda, Treorchy, CF42 5SP.
